Als ich Sprachwissenschaft studierte, war Prof. Dr. Pörksen ein Mentor in einem Orchideenfach. Heute ist Sprachkritik ein großer, fließender Strom geworden, der alle Lebensbereiche streift. Pörksen hat gewusst, wie wichtig der Sprachgebrauch für unser Denken ist. Ohne Zweifel ist sein Werk eine dauerhafte Verbindung zwischen Ausdruck und öffentlicher Meinung geworden. Aus meiner Uni-Karriere ist nichts geworden, für Pörksens Denkanstöße bin bis heute dankbar.
