Dear Meron, I am just seeing this now. I am so sorry to hear about Gerhard's passing. My wife Steph and I have fond memories of the hospitality that you and Gerhard showed us when we visited Freiburg in 2010. I also am appreciative of the kindness Gerhard showed me as my academic host at the University of Freiburg to work on freshwater mussels. He made enormous contributions to our understanding of mussel biology and evolution. I hope you are doing well these days. Kind regards, Don Stewart
